The Race for AI Regulations
AI Helps to Create Final Beatles Record
Welcome to The AI Collective Word!
AI regulation has been a hot topic these last couple of days. European Union lawmakers have agreed to tougher rules on artificial intelligence (AI), including a ban on biometric surveillance and a requirement for generative AI systems to disclose AI-generated content.
In the United States, bipartisan legislation has been introduced that would end Section 230 immunity for generative AI, allowing social media companies to be held liable for harmful material created with AI.
And governments worldwide are actively working on regulating AI tools. France is optimistic about the development of global AI regulation by the end of the year and is keen to collaborate with the United States on technology laws, utilizing the G7 as a potential platform.
The race is on and I will be keeping an eye on the ongoing developments.
